From 8:45am to 10:28am on Sept. 11, 2001, the World stood still as more than 2,997
innocent people were murdered. They were Firefighters, Policemen, Businessmen
and women, Co-workers, Moms, Dads, Grandma's, Grandpa's, Aunts, Uncles,
Neices, Nephews, Daughters, Sons, Cousins, Neighbors, Friends, Volunteers and
more. Innocent people. Some we knew and some we didn't know, but we somehow
ended up knowing before the week was over. Our hearts went out to each and every
person during that time that week. My own heart continues to go out to them. I want
to dedicate this page of my website to all of those people. WE WILL NEVER
FORGET. I wanted to personally add my own personal tribute to the people of 9-11
who lost their lives that day. This is a difficult thing to put together not because it is
hard to do a web-page, but because of the events that happened that day and how
those events effected me then and how they still effect me now. As I put this page of
my website together, I continually revisit my emotions of that day for each photo that I
look at. The day of 9-11 and the days and weeks following were tough on me. I
didn't personally loose any relatives, but I DID know some Firefighter friends whom I
had worked with before in my business and they were suddenly gone. I could no
longer laugh with my friends when I visit New York and I would no longer work with
them. I couldn't call them or talk with them ever again. I grieved. Just as when I lost
my own child to cancer, I still grieve for those who lost their lives, just as I still do for
my own son. I remember that morning so very clear. It started out as a beautiful day
and yet ended so very ugly. Turning on the television at work, I couldn't work. I was
in tears, in shock, confused, sad and angry. I sat at the office all day watching
television, too shocked to go home. The pain was unreal. This horrible event didn't
just happen to those in New York, it happened to America and it happened to the
World. But as tragic as this event was, we stood our ground and we pulled ourselves
together. We suddenly stopped taking life for granted and reached out in
unconditional love to our fellow man. We came together in Love. That is something
that people had not done in a long time. Even now, we continue to go about our
days, taking life for granted until something tragic happens. Why? Why do we have
to wait until then to reach out to others? I may never know the answer. I can only tell
you that I continue to run my business because I choose to be prepared and help
others to be prepared. I don't do it for huge profits, but out of necessity and out of
Love. We must be prepared. Please remember to fly your flags not just on Sept. 11
each year, but EVERYDAY of the year! We are proud to be Americans!
WE WILL NEVER FORGET...
